Hardcore Swooning Over this Black Lace Dress

hardcore swooning over this black lace dress

I’ve been in the market for an all-purpose LBD or a hot minute now, and I found one, with a twist! It’s one thing to have a little black dress, but throw some lace on it, and you have a classy go-to dress for every occasion. The Agni dress from TrinaTurk.com features a dainty lace and mesh combination, with a sweet v-neck. I love the way it frames the waste and flares out at the bottom and shapes the hips, rather than being fitted and exposing every imperfection. The length is particularly what caught my eye. I think choosing the right LBD is all about the length and being comfortable wearing it without worrying about whether it’s too long or short.  The length of this black lace dress is an inch or two above the knee and has the potential to be worn anywhere- from date nights to GNO, it’s the perfect and most “appropriate” length worth investing in because you know you can wear it for many years to come.

In the first outfit, I accessorized the dress with a clutch and nude heels. I was going for a minimal chic look, but really, style has no rules! Go as big and bold with your accessories as you wish. You know me, I’m always raving about nudes, and lately, my style has changed significantly. I find myself gravitating to more monochromatic palettes and warm earth tones.

In the second outfit, I paired the black lace dress with a cropped leather jacket and pointy booties with a chunky heel. And of course, my lapel came undone but I bet you wouldn’t notice that if I didn’t tell you! Here I was keeping it all black and somewhat edgy with the metropolis clutch, so even though the dress is supposed to be classy, don’t be afraid to add textures and bring it to life by pairing it with your closet favorites. Don’t be afraid to experiment and wear pieces you’re comfortable in and that make you feel good. If anything, challenge your style by mixing feminine pieces and adding more edgy or masculine touches, or wear whatever’s standing out to you that day. It’s all about having fun and expressing yourself, and remember, it’s not permanent. Not to be mister obvious or anything but… you can always change your clothes!

The third look incorporates a trend piece- the long camel vest – which is all the rage this season. You can always incorporate classic styles with newer trends and still make it your own. Plus, just goes to show the contrast between the two looks when you add a statement piece with such a bold color. And if you ask me, that’s the best way to create your own style because unconventional is the new cool.

The many ways you can wear an LBD never fails to amaze me. Whether you pair it with what you already have, wear it with sneakers, or the season’s latest trends, it naturally pairs with everything. What’s your favorite way to style a black lace dress?
