One Item, Three Ways: White Skirt Edition

White Skirt

Have you ever bought something only to realize you can only think of one way to wear it? Well, with a little imagination, any piece can be worn multiple ways. Plus, odds are you already have everything you need in your closet. In this episode, I’m taking a favorite slinky white skirt and showing you three different outfits you can make with it.

Outfit 1: The White Skirt Goes Casual

Although this white skirt feels dressy by itself, some casual partners like a band t shirt and sneakers easily take it down to a cute daytime look. You can try this look really with any casual tee or tank, but I would suggest a graphic tee to add a cool factor. And, if Vans aren’t your thing, switch it up with other favorite casuals like a pair of Converse.

Outfit 2: The White Skirt Gets Edgy

Dinner and dancing with the gals? Take your white skirt and pair it with a leather top (I prefer a leather tank) and sleek black accessories for a look that’ll be able to handle whatever adventures the night throws your way. What I love most about this look is the pairing of the different textures – the leather and the softer fabric of the skirt.

Outfit 3: The White Skirt Goes Dressy

A feminine lace camisole and elegant accessories paired with your white skirt equals an outfit that has dressy dinner date written all over it. I wore the skirt with a see-through lace camisole because I love the way the shirt falls over the belt line, still revealing the skirt. With the accessories, you can really do as you please. I paired simple Alexander Wang heels, some Lulu Frost accessories and scored these cute and very inexpensive clutch and cat-shaped sunnies from Forever 21. Of course once the sun comes down, don’t forget to ditch the sunnies!
